CPBC was invited and represented by President Dossal participated in a very powerful and effective session to celebrate International Women’s Day, focused on empowering business in women organized by the CASA Foundation and partnered by Diversity Institute, at the Toronto Board of Trade.
The session brought a focus on “women who Inspire” across Canada that have distinguished themselves in the business and trade sphere and more broadly Canada’s advancing trade and economic development landscape.
Keynote by the Hon. Mary Ng Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion & International Trade encouraged many in the room; a special thanks to Dr. Wendy Cukier, Founder Diversity Institute, Ted Rogers School of Management for her conducting the panel discussions and remarks. CPBC was honored to have Wendy join us at the LEADERS IN ISLAMABAD only a few years ago.
In honor and celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day, Casa Foundation for International Development partnered with the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) – Toronto Chapter to host the Women in Business and Leadership Forum. The Forum will focus on women that have advanced Canada’s trade and economic development landscape and will also celebrate inspiring women in Canada that have distinguished themselves in the business and trade sphere.
The forum included a business roundtable, a case study of leading women pioneers in their respective trades, keynote opening statements from Senior Government officials, as well as speakers from various industry sectors that have impacted lives or who have helped in fast-tracking innovation and growth in the trade, education, and entrepreneurship sectors.
The event included women in technology, entrepreneurs, practitioners, women leaders, influencers, and startups. Additional expected participants include creative collaborators, partners, youths in established businesses, and those looking to start a product or service; or pioneers with women businesses. CPBC was pleased to connect with Established Women Businesses and Startups.
