Hon. Bryon Wilfert
Chairman
Mr. Bryon Wilfert is Honorary Consul General for Myanmar and a past MP for Richmond Hill who has served as Junior Minister of the Environment and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance. He also chaired the Canada-Pakistan Parliamentary Association and many other international committees. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Economy from the University of Toronto.

Samir Dossal
President
Mr. Samir Dossal is an entrepreneur, engineer, and businessman. He is President of Linkks Canada Inc., has served as the President of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill and Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 7070. He served as Vice Chair/Hon. General Secretary at Ontario Chapter of JIBA International and is a Member of the Board of Directors of International Development & Relief Foundation. He also serves on the Richmond Hill Intercultural Advisory Committee. Mr. Dossal has served on the CPBC Board for over ten years and is deeply passionate about promoting trade and good relations between Canada and Pakistan.

Mr. Nadeem Naqvi

Nadeem Naqvi is the CEO of Capital Markets International Advisors, which is presently a consultant to the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) in Shanghai. Mr. Naqvi is advising CFFEX and its partners on strategic matters pertaining to the development of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and the Capital Market.
Mr. Nadeem Naqvi is an M.B.A. in Finance and B.Sc. with Honours in Banking and International Finance from The City University, CASS Business School in London, United Kingdom. He brings with him over 35 years of rich work experience in the global financial services industry, operating in diverse environments of the Middle East, North America and Europe and South Asia.
Mr. Naqvi was the Managing Director of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) from May 2011 till June 2017, when he took early retirement and resettled in Toronto, Canada. During his tenure at PSX he oversaw and guided massive transformation of the Stock Exchange and Pakistan’s capital market. Some of his key accomplishments included: implementation of demutualization of the stock exchanges; integration of three stock exchanges of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and emergence of the Pakistan Stock Exchange as the single capital market in the country; launch of internet/wireless trading platform; successfully advocating with MSCI and international portfolio investors regarding Pakistan inclusion into MSCI Emerging Market Index from previously Frontier Market Index and managing the process without any trading hitches on the day of transition; marketing to and negotiating with the Chinese Investor Consortium consisting of Shanghai Stock Exchange, China Financial Futures Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange and others, whereby the Investor Consortium acquired 40% equity stake in PSX. During his tenure, the profitability of the Exchange rose from Rs. 60 million in 2011 to over Rs. 300 million in 2017. This period also saw the launch of new products such as Govt. Bond Trading Platform, listing of Real Estate Investment Trust, completion of regulatory framework and operational infrastructure for Derivatives trading and Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) listing platform.

Zakir Abdi

Zakir Abdi is a management professional with a finance background and 20 years of progressive leadership experience. He is recognized for transforming high-potential staff into outstanding leaders who demonstrate the creativity and savvy that is critical to financial and operational success of an organization. Mr. Abdi served as Vice President of Midas Safety Inc. for 16 years, where he managed the $100 million business for Personal Protective Equipment Manufacturing for 100% export. He holds an MBA and a Master of Science from Bucknell University, and has been Associate Member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers for the last 24 years.

Naveed Hyder

Naveed Hyder is founder, CEO and Designer at H5 interiors, designing beautiful and energetically vibrant interiors incorporating Feng Shui principals. Her projects range from residential and commercial, with an eloquent combination of traditional and modern design elements. Ms. Hyder has lived and worked in the Middle East, Pakistan and Canada. She supports conscious living and sustainability, working to reduce waste as well as up-cycling old buildings and furniture. She believes in contributing to her community, especially women, and volunteers actively in several charitable causes.

Nilufer Mama
Director
Ms. Nilufer Mama is the Executive Vice-President of UNIGLOBE, The Premiere Travel Group, specializing in both corporate and leisure travel at a multinational corporation headquartered in Canada. She is an accomplished contributor to the vertical growth of destination marketing, international tourism boards, airline representation, and travel management companies, and is involved with mergers and acquisitions of travel agencies within Canada. Ms. Mama is also a successful Real Estate Broker with the Toronto Real Estate Board for 25 years, working with overseas investors seeking to purchase residential real estate in Ontario. She was a two-term Foundation Board member of the William Osler Health System, and serves on several committees. She is passionate about assisting new immigrants settle successfully in Toronto.

Dr. Rafi Mustafa
Director
Dr. Rafi Mustafa received his Ph.D. from the University of British Colombia in 1970. He entered the field of computers during the 60’s and has followed their growth over the last four decades. During his early career his research was mainly scientific and he published 19 research papers in the field of chemical physics. His academic career spans over four continents and includes research and teaching assignments at the University of Leicester in England, University of Sindh in Pakistan, University of Khartoum in Sudan, University of Toronto and University of Windsor. He established Indusflow Systems in 1986. He is the past president of International Development and Relief Foundation.

Ralph Palumbo
Director
Mr. Palumbo specializes in government relations and advocacy. He has held senior leadership roles in private consulting firms, government relations advocacy firms, and a range of non-profit and professional organizations, such as the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Certified General Accountants of Ontario, the College of Nurses and the Law Society of Upper Canada. He has worked with the Ontario government to develop and implement policies, earned high praise as counsel and adjudicator for a number of high profile organizations, and excelled as a media spokesperson. A member of the Ontario Bar, Mr. Palumbo has served six years as vice-chair and chair of the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal.

Farah Shams

Ms. Farah Shams is currently working as Creative Director for Ethnic Marketing – a multicultural advertising and marketing agency in Toronto. Previously, she worked in the education sector for 10 years and also served as Coordinator for the Annemarie Schimmel Scholarship, a non-profit organization supporting foreign education for women in Pakistan.

Dr. Elliot Tepper

Dr. Elliot Tepper is a Senior Fellow at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. He is a Director of the International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development (Rights and Democracy). He has provided policy advice to government and international agencies.
